KANAKA DURGA TEMPLE : The Kanaka durga temple is a famous shrine dedicated to the Goddess Durga located in the centre of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. This astounding architecture is built in Dravidian fashion. Temple is surrounded by gentle hills of Indrakeeladri right along the banks of river Krishna. It is one of the many Shakthi Peetam that are situated in the country. Mythology associated with this place is about triumph of goddess Kanaka Durga over the demon king Mahishasura.

It is built across the Krishna River and is located at the outskirts of Vijayawada in Krishna District. The barrage across the Krishna, was first built by "Sir Arthur Cotton" more than a hundred years ago and later reconstructed in the 1950s.The barrage provides gorgeous view with the shimmering lake. The balmy breeze and the placid waters make it one of the major travel attractions in Vijayawada.

Amaravati is a village in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. It is located on the banks of Krishna River. The village is a part of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region. It is also a historic Buddhist site, and the Amaravati Mahachaitya stupa was built here. There is also the Dhyana Buddha statue, a very large 21st-century Buddha statue in Dhyana posture. It is one of the sites for Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY) scheme of Government of India.

The town is a centre of pilgrimage to both Hindus and Buddhists. The inscriptions on the walls of the Amareswara temple depicts the reign of Vasireddy Venkatadri Nayudu who ruled before the advent of the British rule. It also hosts 125 ft. tallest Buddhist statue in India.[22] The ancient structures and replicas can be found at Kalachakra museum, renamed as Amaravati Heritage Centre and Museum.

Kondapalli means a treat to the eyes with an ancient fort and locally made toys. Poniki, a special type of light wood is used to make the toys which generally resemble the characters of ancient myths and epics .This historic fort was built by Musunuri Nayaks.

Undavalli caves, a monolithic example of Indian rock architecture and one of the finest testimonials to ancient Vivekananda sthapathis located in undavalli, Guntur district. There are several caves; largest one has four stones with huge recreated statue of Vishnu in a reclining posture sculpted from single block of granite. They are associated with Vishnu kundi kings, dedicated to Anantha Padmanabha and lord Narasimha.

Bhavani Island is located at a distance of 4 km from Vijayawada. This is a river island measuring about 130 acres formed by the River Krishna. This place has good boarding and lodging options being run by the Andhra Tourism department.

Lakshmi Narasimha Temple is a vaishnavite temple and one of the eight sacred places of Lord Vishnu in India. It is situated at the foot of the Auspicious Hill in Mangalagiri of Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the temple in the series of three temples located on and at the bottom of the hill, the other two being Panakala Narasimha Temple on the hill and Gandala Narasimha Temple at the top of the hill. Behind the temple, there is the temple of Sri Lakshmi, to the west of which there is a tunnel which is believed to lead to Vundavalli caves on the banks of the Krishna.

Sriharikota is a barrier island off the Bay of Bengal coast located in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, India. It houses the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, one of the two satellite launch centers in India with the other being the Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station in Thiruvananthapuram. Indian Space Research Organisation launches satellites using multistage rockets such as the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle and the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle from Sriharikota.
